Isserlis plays Haydn
CELLIST Steven Isserlis joins the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra at Poole's Lighthouse next Wednesday, 20th February, for a concert conducted by Kirill Karabits.
It starts with Prokofiev's Sinfonietta, and the symphony is Beethoven's 7th.
Isserlis plays Haydn's Cello Concerto in D, composed in 1783 for Antonin Kraft, a cellist in the Esterhazy court orchestra. Thought for many years to have been written by Kraft, an autographed manuscript was found in a Vienna archive decades later, clearing up the vexed question of its authenticity.
The Poole concert starts at 7.30. For more details, visit the website, www.bsolive.com
