1) Dorset County Show, Dorchester
The ever-popular Dorset County Show returns to the Dorchester Showground this weekend - offering an action packed weekend for all ages.

The event takes place between 8am and 6pm with highlights including a gymnastics display team, Titan the Robot, a fun fair and dog racing.
Advance adult tickets cost £12 or £15 on the gate. Children are admitted free of charge.
2) Guitars on the Beach
Over 2,000 guitarists will attempt to set the Guinness UK record for the biggest-ever band on Lyme Regis Beach.
Taking place between 5pm and 6pm, the guitarists will simultaneously play Buddy Holly's Rave On.
3) Bridport Hat Festival
Hold onto your hats as the fourth annual Bridport Hat Festival takes place on Saturday. After live music on Friday night, the west Dorset town will be taken over by thousands of hat wearers.
There will be plenty of live acts, food, drink and trade stalls - along with a mass hat-wearing photo opportunity in Bucky Doo Square.
4) Swanage Folk Festival
Swanage is set to come alive this weekend as the annual Swanage Folk Festival takes place in the Purbeck town.
With a number of concerts taking place at the Mowlem Theatre and in a marquee at Sandpit Field - there is plenty to keep visitors entertained.
There will also be children's activities on offer, along with crafts and trade stalls.
5) Swanage Railway Steam Gala
Train enthusiasts will make their way to Dorset this weekend for the Swanage Railway Grand Steam Gala and Vintage Transport Rally.
There will be a host of different engines on show, while a rally of vintage transport will take place at Harmans Cross.
6) Living history weekend - Corfe Castle
Corfe Castle will come alive for a special weekend of life in the 17th century.
Lord Hopton's Regiment of Foote will offer a demonstration into daily life in the 17th century - with weapons displays and special drills.
This is the first of a series of events to take place at Corfe Castle over the next few months.
7) Corfe Castle Seafood Festival
The Purbeck village of Corfe Castle will come alive as this weekend sees the start of the annual Seafood Festival.
With live cooking demonstrations and plenty of tasty treats on offer, there will be plenty on offer for Dorset foodies.
The Greyhound Inn will also have live music throughout the weekend.
8) Party in the Park, Poole
The 13th annual Party in the Park will take place this weekend in Ashley Cross, Parkstone.
The event has now become a two-day event - with plenty of local music on offer, along with food, drink and children's activities.
Day tickets cost £3 while weekend tickets are available for £5.
9) Non-league football day
The annual non -league day returns with clubs in Dorset cutting ticket prices.
Fans can get tickets for Wimborne Town's game against Cinderford Town for £5 for adults, £3 for OAPs and free entry for children.
10) Blandford Carnival
The Blandford Carnival takes place on Saturday - beginning the period of illuminated carnivals across the region.
