Ten things to do in Dorset this weekend - August 17-18
DORSET is set for another busy summer weekend.

1) Buckham Fair, Beaminster
The annual Buckham Fair takes place on Sunday near Beaminster to raise money for the Weldmar Hospicecare Trust.

Martin Clunes will be the special guest at the event which includes special shows for dogs and ponies and a heavy horse show.
There will also be vintage cars and scooters on show, along with food and drink. Tickets cost £5 for adults, but children can enter free of charge.
Buckham Fair takes place from 9:30am to 5pm.
2) Bridport Carnival Torchlight Procession
Bridport Carnival takes place this weekend, wit the Torchlight Procession bringing the events to a close on Sunday evening.
The procession will begin at around 9pm - leaving Bucky Doo Square, and heading towards West Bay where a bonfire and fireworks display will take place.
3) Summer concert at Stock Gaylard
Janet Coles will be performing at Stock Gaylard on Sunday.
The cellist will hold a concert at St Barnabas' Church at 6pm.
4) Piddle Valley Gardens' Summer Show
The summer show takes place on Saturday at Glebe House, Alton Pancras.
The event starts at 2pm - with a host of awards being awarded for the best vegetables and flowers.
5) Forever Sun Festival - Dorchester
Music lovers will be flocking to Came Park near Dorchester on Saturday - with a wide range of entertainment on offer.
There will also be comedy and street theatre on offer - along with food and drink.
6) Sting in the Tale Festival - East Dorset
The Sting in the Tale Festival kick off this weekend - with local and international storytelling entertaining those of all ages.
The event takes place at various locations across East Dorset including an Iron Age earthhouse, a castle and a woodland.
7) Christchurch Carnival
This weekend will see the Christchurch Carnival taking place on the Dorset coast. Events take place from 10am until 10pm on Saturday, with a fireworks display at 9:30pm.
Sunday will see the carnival procession, as it leaves the civic offices at 2pm - making its way to Christchurch Quay.
8) Vinyl Saturday - Bridport
The popular vinyl record fair returns on Saturday as hundreds of music fans flock to Bridport. There will be over 20 stalls at Bridport United Church between 10am and 4pm. Admission cost £1.
9) RNLI West Bay Fun Day
Money will be raised for the RNLI at West Bay on Sunday with a family fun day between 1pm and 5:30pm.
Various children's games will be on offer, along with a thrilling search and rescue display by the Weymouth Lifeboat team, Lyme Regis Lifeboat team and Portland Coastguard.
10) Animal WD-40 Action Sports Tour, Wimborne
There will be stunts and music for the whole family to enjoy in Wimborne town centre this Saturday, 17th August from 10.30-5pm.
The Animal WD-40 Action Sports Tour will showcase world champion BMX, mountain bikes and free jumpers.
