All star chef line-up for The Ark Foundation lunch
DORSET's Michelin starred chef Russell Brown was one of the six chefs asked to cook at The Chefs' Forum autumn lunch at The Bath Priory to celebrate a successful first year in aid of The Ark Foundation, part of Hospitality Action.
Newly Michelin-starred Sam Moody hosted the event at which each chef cooked one of seven courses to showcase the best cooking that the South West has to offer.
As well as Russell Brown, who has Sienna Restaurant at Dorchester, the other chefs were Martin Blunos (Hogarths), Josh Eggleton (The Pony & Trap, Chew Magna), Sam Moody (The Bath Priory), Simon Hulstone (The Elephant, Torquay), and John Hooker (Lewtranchard Manor, Devon).
Russell said: "The Chefs Forum aims to forge links between colleges, apprentices, suppliers and chefs, an admirable aim in its self but the autumn lunch was also a fundraiser for Hospitality Action, the industry's main benevolent charity.

"I was delighted to be asked to cook a course at such a worthwhile and prestigious event alongside some of the South West's top chefs. I chose the dessert course and produced a variation on a dish from the current menu at Sienna, Golden syrup and mascarpone mousse with warm gingerbread cake and lemon."
The Ark Foundation was founded by Michael Quinn (the first English head chef of the Ritz), who lost his own career to alcoholism. He recovered and set up the Ark to raise awareness of alcohol and drug misuse within the industry. The chairmen are Jamie Oliver and Heston Blumenthal.
