Next stage begins in Dorset street light switch-off
More than 4,000 street lights are to be switched off at night in Corfe Mullen, West Moors, Ferndown and West Parley in early December, unless there are significant concerns over crime.
1,100 street lights will remain lit.

In parts of Dorset where lights have already been switched off, there has been no evidence of an increase in crime.
The lights will be converted to switch off between midnight and 5.30am. Lights will remain lit on main roads and within town centres.
