Have your say on Bournemouth Hospital's Jigsaw Building
CURRENT and former patients, relatives, fundraisers and members of the public are being urged to say what they want to see in the new Jigsaw Building before plans are drawn up and submitted to the council.
Clinicians and key user groups gathered at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital on Tuesday to look at the layout of the building, patient flow and any key design elements.

Now the public are being encouraged to make sure their voices are heard by Friday 22 February. After this date, detailed plans will be drawn up. The public will then have the opportunity to view these drawings and give any feedback before they are submitted to the council at the end of March.
The new 2000m2 Jigsaw Building will be situated at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital between the Eye Unit and the Derwent Suite for Orthopaedics, and will bring together oncology, haematology, gynaecology, breast care and early pregnancy.
It will provide more space for rapidly expanding outpatient and day case treatments and will ensure better privacy and dignity for patients.
Feedback received so far includes requests for Wi-Fi, quiet rooms, counselling rooms and artwork in the building. Outdoor space and good car parking provision have also been highlighted as important elements of the plans.
David Rumbold, Project Manager for the Trust, said: "The event we had on Tuesday was very useful. We're keen to keep this momentum, reach a consensus on the layout and welcome more comments."
