“ I have always loved the George for its Bloody Marys. While not made in the classical style, they make a point of chucking in a load of good stuff - a double vodka, lime slices, all the spices and finishing off with celery salt and a great big stick of celery. A George B-Mary will bring you to life if you're suffering from a hangover. However the standard does vary, depending on who's making it. Understandably, the staff are busy and probably hate making them because they are fiddly and time consuming, but when they get it right it can brighten up my whole week. Recently it seems the staff have changed and I think they took a bit of getting used to making the "perfect" George B-Mary, but hopefully they're back on form now. I'll have to pay them a visit and let you know! ”

“The George Inn I havent visited for a while to be fair but when I was younger I used to go there quite a bit, mainly to see live local bands. Being located along the harbour and outside Brewers Quay gives it a nice seaside feel with a decent selection of beers and ciders to boot.”
