Last minute soloist change as pianist is rushed to hospital
Last minute soloist change for Shaftesbury concert
FANS of Downton Abbey will know that pre-eclampsia is very serious but medical care has moved on from the days when Lady Sibyl's condition was incorrectly diagnosed and she died.

Tom Poster
The dangerous condition has caused a change of soloist at this Sunday's Shaftesbury Chamber Music Series recital.
Pianist Tom Poster (pictured) stepped in earlier this week to give the recital at Port Regis School after the advertised soloist, the brilliant Katya Apekisheva, developed pre-eclampsia and gave birth to a baby girl seven weeks early.

The series' artistic director Ruth Rogers, whose parents live in Shaftesbury, was delighted when Tom Poster agreed to play in her stead. He is an acclaimed soloist who has worked with Alison Balsom, Guy Johnston, Aurora, BBC Philharmonic and BBC Scottish Symphony. His programme for Sunday includes Beethoven's Six Bagatelles, a selection from Janacek's On an Overgrown Path, Ravel's Sonatine, Greig's Lyric Pieces and Chopin's Sonata No.2 in B flat major.
