Have a look at plans for St Leonards Hospital site
SPECTRUM Housing Group, the Homes and Communities Agency and Bellway Homes are offering residents the chance to find out more about the proposals for new homes on the remains of the former military hospital at St Leonards, Ringwood Road, Ferndown.
They will be hosting a public exhibition next week to provide residents and local groups with a chance to give their views on proposals for unused land beside the existing hospital site.
The proposals include a care home and associated community facilities, including a replacement cricket pavilion, nature reserve and public open space.
The exhibition will be a chance for residents to shape the proposals, with members of the project team on hand to answer questions.

Stephen Dunhill, director of development, Spectrum Housing Group said:
“We are excited to present the first stages of our proposals for development on the remains of the former military hospital at St Leonard’s Community Hospital to residents and stakeholders. The proposals are still at an early stage and we are interested to hear residents’ views so we can feed these into our developing plans. We plan to hold a second, more detailed public exhibition in late September.”
The event will be held on Thursday 29 August from noon to 7pm at the St. Leonards Hotel, 185 Ringwood Road, BH24 2NP.
