Locals will have three opportunities to see plans by Tesco to open a store in Sherborne
Public pressure from campaigners prompted the retail giant to add a town centre location to the initial consultation, which takes place on Friday, February 15, between 3pm and 7pm, and on Saturday, February 16, between 10am and 3pm at the West End Hall, Littlefield.
Tesco signed an agreement with Torbeg Ltd, freeholders of the Sherborne Hotel, on the A30, last year and a proposing to submit a planning application in the spring.

The development site is opposite land at Barton Farm which received planning permission for more than 200 new homes in September.
The company has pledged to create around 200 jobs.
Opposers to the plans have formed the Sherborne Defensive Planning Group, which includes members of the Sherborne Chamber of Trade and Commerce, the No Thanks Tesco campaign group and the Sherborne and District Society of the Campaign to Protect Rural England.
The group, and other interested parties such as residents of Bradford Road and Sherborne Girls’ school, are to meet Tesco representatives today.
