Tourism new for 2009 Dorset Business Awards

HOLIDAYS in the UK (so-called "UK-tions") are increasingly popular as a result of the global recession and the strength of the euro and US dollar.

Responding to this trend, the organisers of the annual Dorset Business Awards have added a new category to the 2009 competition – The Dorset Tourism Award, sponsored by Dorset Business (the Chamber of Commerce and Industry) and PH Warr plc.

The award will celebrate people, businesses, events and attractions for their contributions and success within Dorset's tourism industry.

This new category is open to any Dorset-based business, attraction, or event which is accessible on a seasonal or year-round basis and which can demonstrate that excellence in service, customer care and hospitality are regarded as core business objectives.

Entries can be submitted via www.dorsetbusinessawards.co.uk or print-off an entry form and submit a paper-based entry. The closing date is Friday 18th September.
