Work will be carried out on North Road to help commuters between Poole and Bournemouth
Councillor Xena Dion, Poole cabinet portfolio holder said: "From consultation with residents in North Road we know that some are concerned about the loss of parking space. "If we are serious about keeping Poole an attractive place to live, work and play then getting from A to B with minimal delay is imperative. By making improvements now, in the long-term we will have a good infrastructure in place that will enable people to travel more easily without the need for cars, which means less congestion, better air quality and less carbon emissions impacting on our environment."
Residents also raised concerns about the speed of traffic along North road and the council will be monitoring this closely to assess the impact the improvement works have.
