Gryphon School youth politician hopes for another term
PUPILS at Gryphon School in Sherborne turned out in force to vote in the UK Youth Parliament elections.
Polling stations were open at schools across Dorset as pupils voted for three MYPs and three deputies.

HOPEFUL CANDIDATE: Gryphon School pupils Harry Wells, 17, Rebecca Neller, 17, Natasha Pilton, 16, and Emma Douch, 17, took to the polls with MYP Natasha Glendening who is hoping to be re-elected to the National Youth Parliament.
MYP Natasha Glendening, 16, the school's candidate, has been campaigning for re-election. She wants to get the voice of young people heard in the county, and also to see better transport links and more international exchanges.
Miss Glendening, who over the past year has taken part in national and local council sittings, said: "I've also been writing a booklet for town councillors with West Dorset District Council on how to involve young people in decision making.

"I want to continue with this if I am re-elected so I can make sure young people feel that they can raise issues with their local councillors.
"It has been an amazing experience and it has been fantastic to see all our hard work pay off.
"I am really hoping to be re-elected so I can continue that work."
The result of the Dorset election will be announced today.
