Woman fighting for her life after Cooper Dean Roundabout collision in Bournemouth
A woman is fighting for her life in hospital after being struck by a car in Bournemouth.
At around 3pm yesterday, a woman in her 50s collided with a silver convertable Smart car, driven by a woman from Ringwood - at the Cooper Dean Roundabout.

The incident took place on the A338 Wessex Way slip road near the Harvester restaurant.
The pedestrian was crossing the road at a pelican crossing, having walked from the Townsend Estate towards Castle Lane East.

The pedestrian was taken to Southampton General Hospital with life-threatening injuries, and is receiving treatment.
Roads were closed for several hours while the pedestrian received treatment from ambulance crews and the cause of the collision was investigated.
Police are appealing for witnesses, anyone who saw the silver Smart car before the incident and anyone with further information to call 101, quoting incident number 241:19.
