Woman charged with assaulting police officer in Bournemouth
A woman has been charged with assault after a police officer was attacked while trying to make an arrest in Bournemouth.
33-year-old Michelle Meech appeared at Bournemouth Magistrates Court after an incident outside the Nationwide building society on Christchurch Road, Boscombe.

The officer was taken to Poole Hospital, suffering from head injuries. He remained overnight in hospital, but was discharged this morning.
Dorset's Police and Crime Commissioner Martyn Underhill has spoken out about the attack.
"I am saddened to hear that a Police Officer was attacked while undertaking his duties in Bournemouth" said Mr Underhill.
"This reminds us all that policing is dangerous. Our thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family."
A 42-year-old man was also arrested and remains in police custody.
