Police are appealing for witnesses after a 17-year-old Bournemouth boy was robbed in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The teenager was near the mini golf course in Bournemouth Gardens at around 2am when two men approached him from behind and dragged him to the ground, officers said.

The two men stole his wallet and mobile phone, before fleeing in different directions.

DC Steve Griffin, of Bournemouth and Poole CID, said: “This was a nasty attack on a young man in the centre of Bournemouth, and he is very lucky to have only sustained minor injuries.

“This incident happened in an area of Bournemouth that is frequented at all times of the day and night by members of the public, and we believe it is likely somebody may have some information that can help us in our investigation."

The two men are described as having shaved heads, aged in their 20s, of stocky build, and spoke in a foreign language.
