Wimborne's Priest’s House Museum funding to be decided
WITH the possible closure in November of Wimborne’s Tourist Information Centre people in the town have become concerned about the future of the adjacent Priest’s House Museum.
The museum is operated by the Priest’s House Museum Trust.
Matti Raudsepp, head of leisure & open spaces at the Christchurch and East Dorset Partnership, said: “The council provides support to the Priest’s House Museum Trust in the form of two curatorial staff, and consideration is currently being given to the future of that support, although the council remains very supportive of the work and achievements of the museum.”
Trust chairman Mike Carter said: “We are in negotiations with the council on the way we are funded. We’re hopeful not a great deal will change.”
