Father Christmas has been in touch and is already looking forward to joining in the fun as is this year’s Snow Princess, Abigail Ryan, granddaughter of the originator of the Christmas Parade, Margery Ryan.
It is a weekend of festive celebration with a Christmas concert on the Sunday at 2.30pm. The New Forest Children’s Choir, winners of the BBC Junior Choir of the Year 2010 are joined by the New Forest Chamber Choir, Wessex Harmony, and the Mum’s Choir, in a varied programme of Christmas music.
Alison Preston, chairman of Save the Children, Wimborne said: “Come and join in the fun over the Save the Children weekend and help all those children both here and abroad for whom Christmas, as with the rest of their lives, is far from a happy time.”
