Scott Wilson was Cinderford Town’s two-goal hero as Steve Peters’ men handed Wimborne Town their first home defeat of the season, 3-1, in Division One South & West of the Evo-Stik Southern League.

The striker opened the scoring on 20 minutes with an effort from an acute angle.

Wimborne nearly equalised through George Webb, whose effort was cleared off the line, before eventually making it one each on 68 minutes when Scott Arnold’s cross was headed into the net by Matt Kemble.

Cinderford went back in front on 74 minutes through Warren Archer’s headed goal and Wilson sealed maximum points for the Foresters when he doubled his tally for the afternoon in timed added on for stoppages.
