The Dorset side had a golden opportunity to double their lead soon after the restart. Jeffes was tripped in the box, but Kent Kauppinen saved Micky Hubbard's penalty.
With the game in the balance, Webb and Davidson created a well-worked move - which allowed Sainsbuiry to head home to give Wimborne some breathing space.
Swindon grabbed a lifeline with ten minutes remaining when Josh Fowler found the net. The hosts dominated the closing stages, but couldn't find an equaliser to deny Wimborne an important three points.
