However, Wimborne eased up - allowing the visitors to find a way back into the match. A penalty and two quick tries gave Buckingham the lead as they took advantage of unforced errors.

The reliable Moysey kicked a penalty for the hosts late in the first half to tie up the scores at the break.

Moysey's growing confidence allowed the home side to retake the lead after the break. His quick break allowed Tom Napier to slide over for his side's third try, with Moysey adding the conversion and a further penalty.

The visitors turned on the pressure, and pegged Wimborne back for large periods of the second half. Frustration took its toll and Wimborne's Matt Warwick was given a yellow card.

The visitors made their numerical advantage count as they scored another try and penalty, setting up a dramatic finish.

Wimborne, back to full strength charged towards the Buckingham line and the away side conceded a penalty for offside.

Moysey kept his nerves to gave Wimborne a late lead and edge his side towards the cup final.

However, Buckingham had time for one last push. They worked the ball wide - but a bad pass was intercepted by Sam St Barbe who scored a breakaway try to seal the victory.

Wimborne will play Wallingford in the Southern Counties Cup final after they defeated Tadley.
