Weymouth Pavilion may be spared demolition
The future of Weymouth Pavilion is to be handed to the public after a vote yesterday by Weymouth and Portland Borough Council.
The theatre was facing demolition, but campaigners from the Save the Pavilion Group said their plan to run it would be cheaper than the cost of demolition.

The plans were considered as part of an attempt to cut £3.9 million from council expenditure. The option was yesterday recommended for approval by full council on February 21.
