West Bay road improvements to take place over Christmas
The next stage of road improvements in West Bay will start in November - with disruption lasting over the Christmas period.
Following a public consultation, several changes will take place including a new pedestrian crossing, a gateway feature and changes to car parking.
The work will start on November 5, and will last for 14 weeks.
West Dorset District Council Leader, Cllr Robert Gould said: "After going out to consultation about the scheme we have taken everyone's comments on board and have designed these plans accordingly.

"The West Bay Enhancement Scheme has brought some fantastic facilities to the area and these road improvement works are another step towards making West Bay as accessible as possible so residents and visitors can enjoy this wonderful area of West Dorset."
Changes will be made at the entrance to West Bay, while a gateway feature at the entrance to the West Bay Road Car Park will be improved. A pedestrian crossing will be provided at the junction of George Street and West Bay Road - taking into account concerns about flooding. Some areas will be made more pedestrian friendly.
The work will be carried out by Dorset County Council on behalf of West Dorset District Council.
