Thursday 8th: Meeting of Sherborne and District Gardeners' Association,7.30pm Digby Hall in Hound Street. Call My Bluff, Stalbridge Garden Club, Stalbridge Hall, 7.30pm with Larry & Sue Skeats & Charlie Porter. All money raised to go to Weldmar.

Friday 9th: Fireworks Spectacular at St Andrew's Primary School, Fontmell Magna from 6pm with barbecue and bar. Tickets from the school or the village shop. Gillingham Country Market 8.30-11.30am Methodist Church Hall. David Smith on the History of Kingston Lacy and its estate to the Dorchester Association for Research into Local History and Archaeology, 7.30pm at the County Museum in Dorchester.
