Vandals destroy headstones at Poole Cemetery

Mindless vandals have destroyed precious headstones in a Poole cemetery.

Relatives visiting graves at Poole Cemetery along Dorchester Road discovered dozens of ruined headstones on Saturday morning, after criminal damage was carried out overnight.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "This deliberate damage is needless and caused untold distress to relatives who have loved ones burred there.

"The police will do all they can to find those responsible and bring them to justice."
