Time for tea at Kingston Lacy
VISITORS to Kingston Lacy this weekend will be able to experience a traditional tea ceremony in the oriental tea garden, an area not normally open to the public.
Visitors will get the chance to gain an insight into Chinese tea, tea culture and its origins at the first tea ceremony at Kingston Lacy. The day, organised by the National Trust and Wan Ling Tea House based in Blandford and Shanghai, will give visitors the opportunity to experience the carefully crafted tea wares and tools that are used to maximise the appearance, aroma and taste of the tea.
The tea will be prepared in an elegant, relaxing and calm environment offering the chance to sample classic green, oolong and black teas.
The event will be hosted by Wan Ling of the Wan Ling Tea House with her trainee Tzu Ling. The tea ceremonies will be happening on 24th and 25th August at 11.30am, 12.30pm, 1.30pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm each day. The ceremonies will last approximately 45 minutes. Places are limited to 10 people per ceremony, so please book on 01202 883402 (line 8).
