Tie keeps Wimborne in chase for the title
WIMBORNE & Colehill 1st XI tied a thrilling Dorset Premier League match when they and defending champions Poole Town both scored 197 at The Leaze.
The Minstermen made a positive start and were 151-3 off 35 overs before being bowled out for 197 in the 46th over. Leading lights were Ben Bridgen (62), Mike Kitson (44), Colin Randall (22) and Graham Cole (20*).

The visitors got off to a rapid start, scoring almost 10 an over prior to a superb fightback from the Minstermen bowlers (Kitson 2-30, Max Collins 1-27 and Ashley Collison 1-36 ) which left the champions needing seven off the last over. A single off the last ball of the match saw the match end in a tie, which leaves Wimborne 11 points adrift of Parley at the top of the table.
Wimborne & Colehill travel to Broadstone and then host Blandford to wrap up their season. still very much in the hunt for the title.
