"They saw the place three times before the sale was agreed. Fiona's very down to earth."

According to local websites, the couple purchased a cottage in Seatown, near Bridport, a few years ago before purchasing a cottage in Burton Bradstock at auction.

The couple married in May 1997 and have two sons, Nathaniel, born in 1999, and Mackenzie, born in 2002.

It is understood they will employ staff to run the pub.
