Swindon Robins defeat Poole Pirates to claim Elite League Title
The Swindon Robins easily defeated the Poole Pirates to win the Elite League Grand Final at Wimborne Road.
The Dorset side need to claw back a seven-point deficit from the first leg in Swindon and had to do without top rider Darcy Ward - who was attacked at a Dorset pub on Friday night. The Robins made a fantastic start and didn't look back claiming a 95-89 aggregate win.

Ward posted on Twitter immediately after the meeting: "Well done Swindon Robins. We gave it a good go Pirates."
Conditions were tricky in Poole, and the Robins' title never really looked in doubt.

Chris Harris came in at the last minute for Ward, after initial replacement Niels Kristian Iversen was stranded in Poland, with his flight grounded due to fog.
The Robins controlled the meeting and claimed their first Elite League title since 1967.
The Wiltshire side had claimed the title after heat 12, as they built up a 91-75 lead - and eased off as they cruised to victory.
