Swanage care home reopens with 45 residential places
A Swanage care home has reopened after a multi-million pound investment.
The Gainsborough Care Home, formally known as James Day Home was officially opened by MP for South Dorset, Richard Drax.

The home closed two years ago amid falling placement numbers and concerns over outdated facilities.
Andrew Cattaway, Dorset County Council cabinet member for Adult Social Care, said: "We are very pleased that a quality residential home for people in Swanage is now open.

The home will provide 45 residential places for older people in the Purbeck area, including specialist care for dementia sufferers.
Agincare has invested vital funds in the care home after taking over the long-term lease of the building earlier this year.
Dorset County Council has worked with community representatives, local authorities, the NHS and Agincare to help refurbish the home.
Derek Luckhurst, chairman and owner of Agincare said: "It is tremendous to finally open the doors to our first residents. A lot of work has gone into making this possible and we're delighted with the final result.
"The redevelopment will bring not only much-needed care home places and related community resources, but also employment opportunities for local people in a variety of roles."
