Stour riverside to be enhanced
THE boating area adjacent to Dreamboats on the River Stour in Wimborne is to be greatly enhanced.
The news has been warmly greeted by Pat Hymers, chairman and founder of the charity's management committee.
"The new housing estate is being built on the riverside and thanks to section 106 funding, there is money available for a number of improvements," she said.
There is to be a new play area, the pathway to Dreamboats from the Scout hut is to be upgraded and the riverside footpath is to be gravelled.

In addition, the Dreamboats boat store is to be relocated to the bottom of the embankment and a viewpoint created.
"The area is going to be really opened up for water activities, with a new floating landing stage which will be able to be used by Dreamboats and local canoeists," Pat added.
"This will all enhance the facilities of Dreamboats and it won't cost the charity a penny."
Dreamboats is open weekends during September.
