Steve Cuss pleased with point as Wimborne Town share points with Taunton
WIMBORNE Town moved up to eighth place in the Calor Southern League Division One South and West after a goalless draw at Taunton Town.
Both sides wasted good opportunities to secure all three points. Magpies boss Steve Cuss was pleased with his side's performances, believing Wimborne were the better team.
“It’s always good to get a point away from home” explained Cuss. “As far as our second half performance was concerned if there was to have been a winner it would have been us.
“In the first half Jason Harvell kept us in the game with some great saves - but we came close to opening the scoring in the first 45-minutes when George Webb hit the post.

“In the second period Billy Maybury hit the crossbar and Mark Gamble had an effort cleared off the line. To be fair to Taunton they had their chances, hit the woodwork and also had goal line chances cleared.”
Wimborne visit Swindon Supermarine on Wednesday, looking for their first away win of the season.
