Spike in thefts from vehicles in Sherborne
Sherborne town centre experienced a spike in thefts from vehicles in the last month, according to a report.
Sergeant Rachel Goodwin, of Sherborne Police, told town councillors 21 crimes were reported between February 18, and March 13, which included three incidents at the beginning of March.
These included tools stolen from vans on two occasions and one theft from a car.
Sgt Goodwin said: "We have seen a slight spike in these thefts and there have been slightly more crimes overall in comparison to my last report, which was for a slightly shorter time period."

Councillors also heard reports of two shop lifting incidents and crimes which included possession of cannabis.
Mayor Peter Rhodes asked for more detail involving drug crime in the town.
He said: "I'm particularly concerned about the drug situation. It does affect our youth as well as our older members of the community."
Other crimes during the period included a common assault in which a man was released on police bail, and a domestic disturbance where the offender was cautioned.
No criminal damage to dwellings, thefts from dwellings, public order offences, actual or grievous bodily harm incidents were.
