Snow alert in Dorset upgraded to amber by Met Office
The weather warning for snow issued by the Met Office has been upgraded to amber in Dorset.
Heavy snow along with strong winds is expected to hit Dorset from 3am tomorrow morning until 9pm.
Previously a yellow alert had been issued for Dorset, but it has been upgraded to amber which advises people to 'be prepared.' Parts of Wales will be under a severe red weather warning where over a foot of snow is expected to fall.
Motorists are being urged to take care on roads, particularly on Friday morning.

Steve Crosthwaite, head of the Highways Agency's National Traffic Operations Centre said: "It would certainly be a good idea to check the latest forecast before you go to bed tonight so you're prepared for the morning.
"During periods of severe weather we also suggest people consider whether their journey is essential.
"They may want to delay their travel until conditions improve and to allow our winter fleet the chance to treat the roads."
