Sherborne has been voted as one of the 12 most desirable locations to live in a new guide.
A guide published in The Sunday Times judges towns on transport links, schools, natural beauty, crime rates, property prices, cultural life and unemployment figures.
Roger Johnson, chairman of the Sherborne Tourism Forum, said: "I'm not at all surprised. Sherborne is a great place to live and a number of factors contribute to a great quality of life here."
