Seeing double at Mere Primary School
Headteacher Catriona Williamson commented, "I haven't known this amount of twins in one class in all my teaching career." However, it isn't proving a problem for Class Teacher Catherine Bevan, who said "Already we are beginning to see their individual characteristics and we can tell the identical twins apart."
Claire Barton, Mum to Alice and Charlie, said "Mere School was a very easy choice for us to make for Alice and Charlie, as our eldest son, Jack, is also at the school and loves it. The transition for them has been very smooth thanks to the welcoming and friendly staff at both Mere school and Mere Pre-school. We are sure they will have a happy and fulfilling 7 years at Mere."

Millions of people from around the world witnessed the closing ceremony fireworks display which wasprovided by Pains Fireworks, as well as the spectacular pyro effects during the Grand Finale of the Olympic Victory Parade through central London - billed as "The greatest sporting victory parade Britain has ever seen." Mere School parent Bill Deeker of Pains Fireworks set up and fired the finale to the Victory Parade, saying "It was a privilege to be involved."
Bill, who also recently provided the special effects for the European Premier of "The Dark Knight Rises" in Leicester Square, will soon be turning his attention to the Mere Fireworks Festival, which takes place on Sunday 28th October. Hesaid, "It may be on a slightly smaller scale, but as we proved with the first festival last year it will be an unforgettable event!"
You can win the opportunity to experience setting up and firing the fireworks show for yourself, in Mere School's raffle for an "Access all Areas" pass. Buy event and raffle tickets online at www.merefireworksfestival.co.uk
