Scene and Heard
ACCLAIMED pianist Ben Waters plays at Dorset County Museum this Saturday from 8pm. Proclaimed by Jools Holland as one of the best pianists of all time, Ben's performances are simply breath-taking. Last year he was instrumental in re-forming The Rolling Stones to cut his star-studded tribute album to Ian Stewart (Boogie4Stu) which featured all the members of The Rolling Stones, Jools Holland and PJ Harvey. The proceeds from the album have already amassed a whopping £20,000 which has been donated to The British Heart Foundation, in memory of the late Ian Stewart who died of a sudden heart attack at a young age. Ben's currently touring the UK performing music from "Boogie4Stu" as well as an eclectic mix of seminal rock 'n' roll, boogie woogie, blues and rip-roaring originals in this rare solo tour. Tickets available from the Museum Shop at Dorset County Museum on 01305 756827. Doors open at 7.30pm.
