Ringwood’s Big Blanket Campaign is a big success
THE Ringwood Tuesday Indoor Market is coming to the end of the ‘Big Blanket Campaign’ and would like people who have made squares to bring them along to the market for stitching together.
Already 30 blankets have been completed and all items will be on sale from 10-12.30pm on Saturday 30th November at Greyfriars Ebenezer Hall.
All funds raised will be divided between three local charities - Ringwood and Fordingbridge Blind Club, Ringwood Carers Group and New Forest Access for all Association.
If there are elderly or disabled readers who would like a knee blanket they can contact 01725 517427, and choose one with no charge to themselves.

They also still require donations of knitting yarn and people wishing to knit or crochet squares. Donated yarn can be brought to the market on Tuesdays from 10-12.30pm at Greyfriars Activity Centre Ringwood or the Fabric Shop in the high street.
Organisers would also be grateful for any volunteers who would be willing to stitch some squares into blankets.
Several blankets will also be donated to animal charities.
The market is held every Tuesday at Greyfriars Activity Centre from 10-12.30pm and new stallholders are always welcome. Any charities wishing to raise money for themselves can have a free table.
The aim of the market is to provide a social gathering place for local people whilst raising funds for charity. During this year they have - and are continuing to - support Macmillan Nurses, Breast Cancer, Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital as well as the local charities.
