RSPCA honours Dorset couple's 30 years of fund-raising service
A SHERBORNE couple who have hosted fundraising events in their home every year for the past 30 years have been honoured by the RSPCA.
Vic and Jean Rogers, who are both in their 80s, have opened the doors of their Bradford Road home every summer to allow the Sherborne branch of the national animal charity to hold coffee mornings there.

Jill Kirby, Sherborne auxiliary secretary, said: "They are one in a million, not everyone would do this.
"When the inspector presented them with the award she said that we can't raise money for the animals without people like them, which is so true. We appreciate it so much, all the years we've been up there it's always been profit for the organisation."
The group's records show that since July 1992 around £14,000 has been raised at events held at the couple's home alone.
