Quiz organiser Chris Meadows said: "The quiz night is always good fun and we wanted to donate the proceeds to a local charity. The rescue centre offers a chance of a better life for so many animals."
Louise Keeling, marketing and fundraising manager for the charity, said: "We would like to thank Magna for thinking of us in their fundraising efforts, every donation is vital, to help us continue our work.
"We are always looking for volunteers to help us in anything such as admin work, media, fundraising, animal care and much more.
"We are also always grateful for good quality cat and dog food. Blankets, towels and cat and dog toys are also welcome."
