Purbeck tenants can swap homes
A home-swap event is taking place this November for Purbeck housing association tenants who need to move to a smaller or larger home.
The “Mutual Exchange” event is taking place at the District Council’s offices, Westport House, Worgret Road, Wareham, BH20 4PP on Thursday 7 November. It will start at 6.30pm and end at 9pm.
Councillor Mike Lovell, housing and development spokesman for Purbeck District Council, said: “As a result of changes to the government’s Welfare Reform Act some tenants will be facing reductions in their housing benefit entitlement.
“These tenants may wish to move to smaller accommodation which is more appropriate for their family size. This in turn can help out a family living in a house that is too small for them.”
