Dorchester Town will be without captain Mark Jermyn for their crunch match against fellow strugglers Basingstoke Town tonight.

The Hampshire side visit The Avenue Stadium with only Truro City below them in the Blue Square South league table.

The Magpies are only one point ahead of Basingstoke - level with three other clubs on 28 points. Tonight's six-pointer could see the Dorset side leap up to twelfth place with a win.

Dorchester played well against high-flying Welling United on Saturday, only to be denied by a late Ross Lafayette goal.

The points are all-important tonight as the Magpies hope to move away from the drop zone.

Dorchester will be without the services of Jermyn, who is missing after injuring his ankle - and missed Saturday's game.

Basingstoke's biggest goal threat is likely to come from Delano Sam-Yorke who has bagged eleven goals in his side's Blue Square South campaign.

The Magpies will be confident of a win after knocking Basingstoke out of the third qualifying round of the FA Cup in October.
