The Cherries are also hoping to break a club record by extending their unbeaten run to 19 games. A win would put the Dorset side in the fourth round of the FA Cup for the first time since 2005.

The winner of tonight's replay will face an away trip to Macclesfield Town in the fourth round of the competition.

The Cherries have a good recent home record against the Latics. After sharing a goalless draw in 2000, the Cherries beat Wigan 2-0 at The Avenue Stadium in Dorchester in 2001.

Cherries assistant manager Jason Tindall said: "Wigan are a fantastic side with some great players and are established in the Premier League.

"Whatever team their management decides to bring here will be a good team.

"We know it will be a very tough game for us, but we have to take a lot of confidence and belief out of our performance at Wigan and hopefully carry that into the game here."

Lewis Grabban is expected to feature tonight after recovering from illness. The Cherries striker played 90 minutes against Swindon Town on Saturday.

Angelo Henriquez, who signed on loan from Manchester United could start for The Latics, who are expected to make several changes from the side which drew with Fulham at the weekend.

"We have had a very busy schedule and we have a very busy time coming up" added Tindall.

"We have a fantastic group of players and ahead of us all we now have a fantastic night against a Premier League team - and it's one we are all looking forward to."

The game kicks off tonight at 7:45 with all tickets sold out.
