The combined cost of the special Bond cars on display was estimated to be over £1million - gaining a lot of attention from visitors to the leisure complex.

The charity, which offers free care to people living with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses raised around £7,500 - one of their most successful events of the year.

Sara Sheppard, Community Fundraiser for The Lewis-Manning Hospice said: "It was a fantastic evening, it was one of the biggest fundraisers of the year for the hospice.

"The money raised completely exceeded our expectations."

In order to care for their patients, The Lewis-Manning Hospice need to raise £50,000 every month, making fundraising events vital to the charity.

Empire Cinemas, Tower Park have enjoyed a long-standing relationship with the charity, after members of staff have had relatives cared for by the hospice - and have been touched by the warmth and kindness shown by the nursing staff.

Susi Teall, Assistant General Manager of Empire Cinemas, Poole said: "We are delighted that Lewis-Manning chose us to host their event at Empire, Poole and that Sony were happy to let us screen the film a day early.

"It's always great fun hosting these events as it creates a great buzz both for our customers as well as our staff."

Lewis-Manning would like to say special thanks to Sony, Liverpool Victoria, Savills, Tower Park, Empire Cinemas, Lemur Landings and Black Label Events for helping with the event.
