Poole businesses warned over diesel thefts
Poole businesses are being urged to keep their vehicles secure after a spate of diesel thefts.
Dorset Police are investigating various reports of diesel being taken from businesses at Nuffield Industrial Estate and t he Benridge and Sovereign business parks over the last few weeks.

Businesses are being urged to ensure their vehicles and premises are left secure to prevent them being targeted.
Dorset Police Crime Prevention and Design Advisor John Green said: "Following a recent increase in diesel thefts in the Poole area, I'm encouraging businesses to take simple measures to reduce their chances of being targeted by thieves.

"In most cases, the diesel has been stolen overnight from parked lorries. Businesses should park their lorries inside buildings wherever possible.
"If this is not possible, park vehicles in a secure compound. At the very least, ensure vehicles are parked in a well-lit area."
Other advice to businesses includes making sure they leave as little fuel in the tank and to effectively use lights, cameras or alarms if they are available.
