Poole Town mark Southern Premier League return with win over St Albans
GOALS from Steve Devlin and Carl Pettefer ensured Poole Town made their return to the Southern Premier League with a deserved win over St Albans.
The Dophins returned to the division for the first time since 1992 and the side including former AFC Bournemouth defender Warren Cummings looked a home against their Hertfordshire opponents.
The visitors to Tatnum took a surprise lead after ten minutes when Greg Ngoyi headed past Nick Hutchings.
The Saints lead was short-lived as Pettefer deflected home a Poole attempt on goal to level the scores on his Dolphins debut.

St Albans went close to retaking the lead when John Frendo rattled the crossbar with a long-range drive.
Poole controlled the opening stages of the second half - with Devlin giving the hosts the lead, pouncing after Jon Davies' shot was blocked.
The visitors went searching for an equaliser, with Poole unlucky not to add to their tally on the counter-attack. Richard Gillespie latched onto Carl Preston's ball, but his header came back off the woodwork.
Poole's league campaign continues when they visit Chippenham Town tomorrow night.
