Poole Pirates to push boat out as they welcome back champion Chris Holder
World champion Chris Holder will be welcomed back to Poole tomorrow night after he took the Grand Prix crown in Poland last week.
The 25-year-old will ride at Wimborne Road as the Poole Pirates take on The Coventry Bees after Monday's first leg of The Elite League Final with The Swindon Robins was postponed.

Holder's title win came amid controversy. After clashing with title rival Nicki Pederson in the semi-final, the two riders squared up and had to be separated off the track. Luckily for the Poole rider, the semi-final was restarted with Holder taking the win, enough to secure the title.
Poole boss Matt Ford said: "There is no doubt sports fans in Dorset never disappoint when it comes to backing world champions and title winners to their club - and they don't come any bigger than Chris Holder as the new world champ.

"I can only repeat that as a club we are doing everything to make it one of the most special evenings ever witnessed at Poole. We have some to top but we are so hugely proud of what Chris has achieved that we really must push the boat out on this occasion.
"We have bolstered our stock of air horns and it would be great to generate a cacophony of noise when we present Chris to the public. I will be keeping everything crossed that it doesn't rain on Chris' parade.
"However, the important thing about Wednesday is that is is a night for Chris - and that makes it a night that any sports fan would be mad to miss."
