Police treating Sherborne house fire as suspicious
Police are investigating the cause of a fire which severely damaged a house in Sherborne on Friday night.
Dorset Police are treating the blaze at Knotts Paddock, which is believed to have started between 8.30pm and 9.30pm, as suspicious.

The house was empty when the fire broke out, and nobody was injured, but officers have issued a plea for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward.

“Fortunately nobody was in the house when the fire took place.
“If anyone saw anything suspicious in the area before the fire broke out, or if anyone has any information in relation to the cause of this fire, I’d encourage them to contact Dorset Police immediately.
“The investigation is in its early stages, but we are treating this fire as suspicious.
“I am keen to hear from any witnesses who may have been in the Knotts Paddock area when the fire began.”
No arrests have been made in connection with this incident.
