Police searching for Poole road rage driver after stone thrown at windscreen

Police are looking for an angry driver in Poole after he threw a stone at a car in an act of road rage.

At around 1.15pm on Friday December 7, a 40-year-old woman from Poole was driving a silver MG car towards the Hungerhill Roundabout, Holes Bay Road - when she was forced to stop suddenly after merging with traffic.

The vehicle behind her, a bright orange or red Vauxhall Corsa was also forced to brake hard.

Moments later, the driver of the Corsa was seen to throw a stone-like object which cracked the windscreen of the MG, before shouting a torrents of abuse at the victim.

Police Constable Phil Prentice, of Poole Police said: "This incident has caused the victim a lot of distress, and she has been left shocked by what happened.

"She has also suffered damage to her vehicle which is likely to cost her money.

"The driver of the offending vehicle is described as a black man of slim build and with dark hair."

The offender was seen to drive off towards Dear Hay Lane.
