Police release CCTV image of potential witness in Highcliffe armed robbery

Police have renewed their appeal for witnesses after an armed robbery in Highcliffe - with a CCTV image of a potential witness being released.

At around 9.30am on Tuesday December 18, a man entered the Post Office on Lymington Road, demanded money - leaving with a quantity of cash.

The offender was believed to be carrying a firearm, but no-one was injured during the robbery.

Detective Constable Kate Dennis of Bournemouth CID said: "This was an extremely distressing incident and the victims were understandably shocked as a result of this man's actions.

"Following extensive enquiries I am now able to release a further CCTV images. The pictured man is a possible witness.

"I would like to trace the man pictured as we believe he entered the shop shortly after the offender had committed this offence.

"It's believed this potential witness indicated to the victim that the offender had run off onto the main road.

"I am very keen to speak with this man as he may have valuable information that can assist us in our investigation."
